Even though the one thousand dollar bill has been extinct for about 40 years now, there are still copies of it found in the circulation. It is true that the most common place where one can see a thousand dollar bill up close is in a museum. But other than museums, there are still people who have their own copies of the said dollar bill. In fact, these people are really wondering what the value of these thousand dollar bills is, or if they still have any value at all.

Some people have attempted to ask other people about the value of this specific dollar bill and they were informed that the value is the same as its status – obsolete. The Federal Notes on a person’s one thousand dollar bill is said to be invalid and of no use to the market today. What many people is not aware of is the fact that even though these one thousand bills are already phased out from the market, the Federal Notes with them were never declared as invalid. This means that those people who still have with them an authentic one thousand dollar bill with a Federal Note in it they can still make good use of it because of its value. Although the dollar bill has not lost its value still, it is still not advisable for the person to spend it because knowing the status of the bill, one can still come up with some money for it.

If the person who owns a thousand dollar bill is already decided to make money out of it, it is advisable to just sell it for a higher price than its actual value. For sure, anyone will be willing to pay a greater amount for a precious collector’s item.
